Cycling and walking
In the nearby woods of Rijs and Oudemirdum several walking and cycling-tracks have been laid out. Along the coast of the IJsselmeer you can head for Mirns or Stavoren or enjoy the quiet of one of the small beaches. On request, we have bikes ready for you as well as a well-stocked picnic basket.

At a 5 km. distance lies Gaasterland golf-course. This is a challenging 9 holes course developed in cooperation with the Gaasterland Forestry and has a friendly clubhouse. At St. Nicolaasga (25km) you will find an 18 holes course which is considered to be in the top ten of Dutch courses. A partly parkland partly open course with fine facilities. The splendid surroundings and beautiful views will make the day a relaxing one.
